SECTION VII - ALUMNI MANAGER OF ROSARYHILL SCHOOL (SECONDARY SECTION)
ARTICLE 1 - RETURNING OFFICER AND ELECTION COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee shall assign the President or an office-bearer as Returning Officer to monitor the nominations and to supervise the issue of ballot papers and counting of votes, but the Returning Officer must not be a candidate for the Alumni Manager election
The Returning Officer shall invite two other OSA Members (either Ordinary Member or Life Member) to form the Alumni Manager Election Committee. Members of the Election Committee must not be a candidate for the Alumni Manager election.
ARTICLE 2 - ELECTION PROCEDURES
The election procedures of Alumni Manager and detailed arrangements of the election are adopted and listed out in Appendix 1 of this Constitution.
ARTICLE 3 - NUMBER OF ALUMNI MANAGER
As specified by the IMC of Rosaryhill Secondary School, there is only one Alumni Manager.
ARTICLE 4 - TERM OF OFFICE
ARTICLE 5 - OBLIGATIONS OF ALUMNI MANAGER
As a member of the IMC of Rosaryhill Secondary School, the Alumni Manager shall have the following obligations -
The Alumni Manager should report his work in the IMC, in writing, to the Association no less than two times each year. The Alumni Manager shall use his best endeavours to reflect the opinions of alumni in the IMC and also consult the opinions of alumni through the Association before making important decisions in the IMC, if the situation allows.
ARTICLE 6 - RESIGNATION AND CESSATION OF OFFICE
An Alumni Manager may resign from his office by giving a notice in writing to the Supervisor and the School Sponsoring Body specifying the date on which the resignation is to take effect.
A person shall cease to be Alumni Manager of the IMC in the event of one or more of the following situations:
ARTICLE 7 - FILLING OF CASUAL VACANCIES
In the event that the vacancy of the Alumni Manager arises as a result of any occurrence of event from (a) to (h) in Article 6 of this Section, the Association shall conduct a by-election in the same manner to elect another Alumni Manager to fill the vacancy within two months from the effective date of the resignation. If the Association cannot conduct the by-election accordingly, the IMC shall apply on good grounds to the Permanent Secretary of the Education Bureau further extension of the period for filling the vacancy. The term of office for a new Alumni Manager filling a vacancy arising prematurely should not run afresh but is the remainder of the term of the outgoing Alumni Manager.
ARTICLE 8 - REMOVAL OF ALUMNI MANAGER
On the ground that the Alumni Manager is not suitable to continue to hold office, the Association may pass a resolution in an extraordinary general meeting and make a written request to the IMC to cancel the registration of the Alumni Manager. The IMC shall, upon receiving the request, issue a notice in writing to the Permanent Secretary as regards the cancellation of the registration of the Alumni Manager.
