| 25 June 2009 To: Friends of RHS and Guests of Golden Jubilee Closing Ceremony Re.: Cancellation of the Closing Ceremony – 10 July 2009 It is with great regret that I inform you that we have cancelled the Closing Ceremony of the Golden Jubilee scheduled for 10 July 2009 at our school. After taking into account Education Bureau and Department of Health guidelines relating to the H1N1 influenza, and the restrictions and dangers that we may face if we continued with the activity, we have decided to conclude our Golden Jubilee celebrations. Let me again express how wonderful and rewarding the whole celebration has been, and how satisfying has been the positive response from those, who in one way or another had a relationship with Rosaryhill. The support we have received has been great. It is a clear sign of the good work that our school has been doing in the past fifty years and is doing at present. The qualification of “top school”, “elite school” that we have heard in the news and read in the newspapers is quite real. Our teachers and school staff keep on doing a good job. The celebration of the Golden Jubilee has been a tribute to the many teachers and staff of RHS. There are some matters left, like the acknowledgement of those who have helped in the different celebrations, the presentation of the Rosaryhill Golden Jubilee scholarships and the burial of the time capsule. We will find other occasions during the coming school year to hold these ceremonies. It is a pity that we will miss our good friends and past students who were planning to join us for the ceremony. But we will have other occasions when we will meet. Once again, a big THANKS to all the many good people who have shown their love and gratitude to our school during this school year. May God and our Lady of the Rosary bless us all, Fr. Francisco de las Heras Supervisor |
