In the morning on 1st September 2006, a tragic traffic accident happened in which a man was killed together with his 11-month old daughter by a reversing truck in Po Hing Fong, a dead end in Mid Levels. 

The victim in that unfortunate accident was in fact a RHS' old student Mr Benson Lin Che Kiang (Form 5 graduate, 85/86). 

A memorial service will be held at 8pm on 22nd September 2006 at the Hong Kong Funeral Home  and their funeral ceremony will be held at 10am the following day on 23rd September 2006 . 

As offers of donations poured in, Benson's bereaved wife and mother decided to establish a fund under the name of Benson and his daughter Gladys to help those affected by similar accidents and promote road safety.  Those who are intending to donate money to Benson's family could dontate the money into a HSBC account (No.593-0-024-178).  The account will be managed by a voluntary lawyer.
